Audio, video, and film recordings related to the coaching and broadcasting career of Al McGuire. The collection best documents McGuire's colorful sports commentating for NBC, in addition to syndicated sports programming produced by Al McGuire Productions. A large portion of the collection consists of master videotape interviews with prominent college basketball coaches and players from the 1970s and 1980s. McGuire was also well known for his civic contributions. The collection includes video footage of "Al's Run," an annual event which raised more than $2 million for the pediatric intensive care unit of Children's Hospital in Milwaukee.
